The Jail Viewer is a public information service, not a certified record. Its warning says information is regularly updated, changes quickly, and is not guaranteed accurate. Historical examples from 2024 and 2025 were still available during research, but Douglas County publishes no fixed online retention period.

The form lists a face sheet or single page at $5, a report through six pages at $8, added pages at $0.25 each, photos at $15, and research at $25 per hour in 15-minute units with a $10 research deposit. It indicates at least three days for processing, but that is agency guidance, not a guaranteed production deadline. Confirm the current form before paying.

Why is the person missing from the roster? The live roster is a current-custody list. Release, transfer, data lag, a spelling mismatch, or a sealed access change can all produce a zero result, so move to the historical query before drawing a conclusion.

The viewer says its information is regularly updated and changes rapidly, but it gives no exact refresh schedule. It also gives no promised retention period, although older released bookings were observed online. There is no verified official DCSO jail mobile app. When the query fails, widen the dates, recheck spelling, inspect the court case, and request the record.
Note: A scheduled date without an actual release field does not confirm that the jail completed the release.
Oregon Offender Search After Douglas Release
Use Oregon Offender Search, or OOS, only when the person entered ODOC custody or has an Oregon state-prison record. Search by SID when known because it identifies the state record. A carefully spelled name is the fallback. OOS is not an archive for a person whose only event was a Douglas misdemeanor or pretrial booking.

Douglas Release Clothing and Property Example
A 2025 Oregon Treatment Court report documents one planned 7 a.m. release in which clothing was placed with the person’s property, food was arranged for a long trip, and medical transportation was coordinated. That is a sourced case example. It is not a universal DCSO release time, clothing rule, meal policy, or ride promise.
State-prison discharge follows a different rule. ORS 421.125 addresses suitable clothing and a person’s money and documents when ODOC discharges or paroles someone. Do not apply that state statute as a blanket Douglas County Jail procedure.
